On January 28, 2008, Panasonic signed professional golfer Ryo Ishikawa to a five-year sponsorship deal. While holding a sun visor with a Panasonic logo, Ryo Ishikawa expressed his desire of playing overseas. "I want to continue to do my best so that I can one day be successful on the world stage just as Panasonic has done," Ishikawa said.
