Nov.29.2011 [News]Presidents Cup
[Tournament Date] Nov.17-20 2011
The President Cup is a tournament that is held once every two years between the international team and the US team. Ryo Ishikawa showed up to this big stage as a member of the international team. On the first day, Ryo paired with a South African leading golfer, Ernie Els, but suffered consecutive defeats. But on the third day, pairing with Els again, he took on the previous US tour's top money title winner, Matt Kuchar, and the winner of the FedEx Cup of this year, Bill Haas. Ryo finally had one victory as a result of a seesaw battle. In the singles tournament on the final day, he went against Bubba Watson. Ryo actually lost to Watson on the first and second days, but this time, he overwhelmed and dominated Watson from the front side, and succeeded in gaining a victory. Ryo bend his eyebrows because the international team lost to the US team, but he left the President Cup feeling a good response in his active performance with two victories.
