On the first day, Ryo Ishikawa struggled with bad shots, starting his round in the tie for 64th place at a 2-over-par 72. On the second day, he made an eagle on the back side three (par-5) by successfully getting home with his second shot. He did quite well with his short games, jumping to the tie for 22nd place at a total of 1-under-par with an improved his score, 67. But in the final round, Ryo failed to seize an opportunity to emerge. He declined to the tie for 46th place at a total of 2-over-par, with three strokes behind. He was impatient with his performance on the final day too, finishing his round in the tie for 38th place at a total of 1-over-par. His performance was disappointed, but he steadily stepped forward to be seeded in next year's professional U.S. tour.
