Ryo Ishikawa have been ranked in the top 60 in the world rankings as of May 21, and appeared in the U.S. Open for the third time for three consecutive years. On the first day, Ryo made a nice start by taking advantage of stable shots in the tie for the 15th place with just five strokes behind the leader, making one birdie and two bogies. But he struggled with short putts on the second day, making every putt a little short of the cup. Ryo declined his score by four shots in early five holes. Although he played persistently afterwards, he regretfully made some miss shots around the green in the final 18th and finished with a painful double bogey by missing a 1.2-m putt. Lacking one shot in qualifying the cutoff line, he failed to make the cut at a nine-over-par.
